What Darren does
Most people keep these jobs separate. Darren does them all - to the same honest, properly-finished standard.
We diagnose first and give you honest options - the proper fix or a sound, cost-effective one. You decide.
If it can be mended rather than replaced, he'll tell you - and usually do it for less.
Proper kit, tidy edges, nothing left behind - the garden left better than he found it.
The Fettle way
Where a job allows it, you'll get both options laid out plainly - never one inflated bill and a take-it-or-leave-it.
The full, do-it-once repair with new components - the option you'd want on anything safety-critical or built to last.
Repaired, machined or refurbished where it's genuinely safe to - the same result for a fraction of the cost.
Darren explains the trade-offs clearly, and the decision is yours.

This caliper had a seized, corroded mounting thread. A busy garage would usually just fit a brand-new caliper - a perfectly proper repair. Darren laid out the practical option too: re-tapping the thread, fitting a helicoil and a new slider bolt, then a fresh disc and pads to finish.
Two honest ways to fix it, explained plainly - the kind of repair a garage with overheads and a full diary doesn't always offer.
Word of mouth
No flashy social media. Just neighbours telling neighbours.
“Darren fitted new brake discs and pads on my VW Polo. When he found an issue with the brake unit on the driver side, he talked me through several options, from a full refit to a more cost-effective repair. It was an unexpected extra I couldn't ignore, but he explained the pros and cons of each clearly and helped me find something that fit my budget. The care he puts into the work, and how straight he is about everything, means I can't recommend him highly enough.”
“Darren fitted new brakes on my BMW. He advised on the best parts to use and the install was quick and hassle-free. He also flagged a few other things ahead of my MOT. Highly recommended.”
“Got Darren in to do my front garden. Lawn mowed, weeds pulled, hedges trimmed to perfection. He even cleared the moss and grass creeping onto the pavement. Everything was left tidy and I'll definitely be calling him again.”
